Tickets Now on Sale for Rita Hayworth-Inspired Private Dancer Starring Sage Snakechalmer

Tickets are now available for Sage Snakechalmer's Private Dancer, which will begin performances December 1 at The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row. The Rita Hayworth-inspired off-Broadway show is set to open December 5 and play through December 21.

Bob Degus directs the sole cast member and playwright herself, Snakechalmer, with choreography by Francesca Harper and composition by Brian Ralston.

Private Dancer features an opulent blend of story, choreography, music and film. Through Rita Hayworth’s life saga, the production explores the internal division between a celebrity’s artificial image and her heartbreaking and destructive hidden truths. The play discovers what happens when you’re at breaking point and the only thing that can save you is yourself.

The production will have set design by Abigail Benavides, lighting design by Joshua Rose and sound design by Lisa Fowle.
